Details of Covers
Traditional blue covers on maps dated until 1963
White-topped covers on maps dated from 1962 to 1969
Covers with bold 'Half Inch' heading were used on maps dating from 1966 to 1974
Predominant colours with the latter two editions were red for cloth-backed and blue for paper, although, around 1974, this differentiation was abandoned, presumably to use up all the available covers before the change to the 1:100,000 series.
